to much of a good thing

I haven't wanted to write about food lately.

Nothing sounds or tastes good, but everything in reach makes its way to the digestive tract, fiercely. It has been at least three full days of face stuffing. I feel lousy.
I went to make breakfast this morning around 8 a.m. and stopped short of frying up two eggs with feta and zucchini. I realized just as I was turning on the burner that I was indeed not hungry. My stomach was still full with last nights masquerade of leftovers and pantry items. I still had trace amounts of the dark chocolate Hershey kiss in mouth that I'd eaten right before bed.
My days hunger was fulfilled with a smattering of watermelon, rice cakes and noodles. Terrible, I know!
There is only one thing I can do, take a break.
I think it would be beneficial to me if I limited myself to water, herbal teas, fruits and veggies for a few days.
Sometimes it nice to give the gut a break.

serial cereal

I bought a box of Rice Chex (now labeled Gluten-Free) yesterday. Now there is little more than a bowl remaining in the box. I thought I would switch up the Oatmeal for Breakfast routine that I have been on some time now, but I am afraid I cannot keep a box of cereal around. One cup, two cup, three cup and my belly doesn't register any sort of fullness. Why is it there are just some foods we cant keep around? Nut butters are something I swore of long ago. So as an experiment I will be trading in the box Chex for a jar of sunflower butter and a loaf of sprouted bread for my morning meal. Will I be caught shoveling spoonful into my mouth by the light of the refrigerator after midnight?
We will have to see.

For the love of food

3 woeful days of "food poisoning" (read diarrhea) will remind anyone of the importance of a meal. Despite the fact I will never be able to ingest Fresh Mozzarella or Prosciutto again I am well enough to procure some Salmon with Fennel and Peas for Dinner and Blackberries with minted syrup and Greek Yogurt for Dessert. As I sip some Badia Green Tea from a chipped cup and eat Rice Chex from the box both bought from the sad little Food Town down the Street I ponder what Food really is. I am interested in all facets.

Food to me means:

Healthy
Indulgent
Disordered
Fuel
Crafty
Refined
Homey
Nutritional
Artful

Which I will cover from here on out. I will keep you updated with Recipes, Nutritional facts, Restaurant reviews, Food porn (pictures), What I ate, and Emotional recounts

Now, I have some dishes to do.
bye.
